A New President!

Wow, holy inaugural logistics! I was watching the dignitaries entering the stage area prior to the swearing in. It was great to see a woman with a headset and clipboard working to get everyone lined up. One of our kind front and center.  From seating charts for every event, invitation management, crowd management, portable toilets and a million other details including the moving vans hauling out the Bush family belongings. It's an exceptional day in history and great planners executed the details to create history!

Planner In the News

Attached is a link to an interesting StarTribune story about Paul Ridgeway, Ridgeway Events. Paul owes vendors lots of money and that makes news. Some comments online from readers think the story is a character smear by the paper. The article mentions Paul and Paul Jr are also heading an investment group trying to turn a vacant Shakopee building into an Asian Market. Is that where the money went instead of to the vendors? This may be a good case for hiring an independent planner that is in the business to plan.

I'm Really Back

Yesterday I attended the monthly MPI meeting and heard Jim Spellos, author, technology trainer and president of Meeting-U. I learned so many great tips about technology for meetings, my business and personal applications. He was inspirational and I'm back on the blog wagon after my attempt in September. Here's to you Jim Spellos, you've set me a twitter!

I'm Back...

After many many months of not blogging I decided to express my deep thoughts online. Ahhh it feels good to be back.

Yesterday I attended the MPI (Meeting Professionals International) chapter meeting. Always great to see my friends in the biz. The chef was showing off his skills, which I appreciate, my only complaint was he didn't name the triple plated chicken, venison and Alaskan Halibut The Sarah Palin Special.

All the best!
